Cleaning Tips for Green Bathrooms

We completely understand why so many of our customers prefer eco-friendly cleaning supplies. Green cleaning solutions are favored for everyday cleaning since they are gentler on the skin and lungs and do not include the harsh odors and chemicals present in more traditional products. Green products, on the other hand, may not necessarily appear to work as effectively. You want to know that you're cleaning thoroughly and eliminating germs, particularly in the bathroom. So, to help you maintain your bathroom clean, green, and healthy, we've collected a list of some of our favourite green bathroom cleaning suggestions. The bulk of these methods may be accomplished using basic household items, the most significant of which is vinegar.

  • Preventative maintenance is important.

Sink and shower drains should be cleaned in a green manner.

In general, but especially when it comes to green bathroom cleaning, maintenance cleaning is your greatest friend. Pour 12 cup baking soda and a cup of vinegar down the drain once a week. Allow for a 20-minute cooling period before flushing the drain with hot (ideally near-boiling) water.

  • For tub and shower walls, use a green cleaning method.

  1. Spraying vinegar all over the shower and letting it stay for a few minutes will help dislodge stubborn stains, soap scum, and dirt.

  2. Fiberglass: Clean using a sponge and a mixture composed of dish soap and baking soda.

  3. Porcelain: Try spraying them with lemon juice and then sprinkle with alum powder to remove stains from porcelain using only green solutions. Allow to set overnight after working into the stain. Add a bit extra lemon juice the next morning and clean the spots away.

  4. Apply baking soda to wet or damp appliques for non-skid strips and appliques. Allow for 15-20 minutes before scrubbing and rinsing.

  • Environmentally friendly grout cleaning alternatives

Baking soda is your go-to solution for re-lightening dingy bathroom grout. Scrub the grout with a baking soda and dishwashing soap combination. Then all you have to do is rinse it. Our specialists employ toothbrush scrub brushes for more difficult cleaning, such as grout and rings around drains.

  • Toilet cleaning is done once a week.

Fill the toilet with half a cup of vinegar and let it rest for half an hour. Scrub the toilet using a toilet brush that has been sprayed with baking soda.
